Well there is only one chapter left in the Hobbit. We need to choose our next book. Any suggestions? I really want to read a classic, Kyle really wants to read a Biography or something Historical. I think that we'll end up compromising by taking turns who chooses what we read. Here are some of our options:
I'll let you know what we choose soon!
so I totally read the Hobbit before the movie and now I'm reading the Fellowship of the Ring and loving it, it's so fun to "revisit" :)
ReplyDeletemore biography/historical: Unbroken, it's a WWII story, def. an emotional read but also super cool survival story of a pilot, all his war craziness, and how he got saved after the war! (of course now every time i hear a plane i think we are going to be bombed...a little rough living right by an airport...but still a good book!) ;)
We have read Unbroken. It was so good.. made me cry. I love his example of forgiveness! It blows me away!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping for the Lord of the Rings too :) My hubby has never read it.
p.s. I grew up by an airport too! I loved watching the planes land. I tried to look at your blog but it didn't connect me to anything, do you write often?
Lord of the Rings! Although I liked The Hobbit better than the LOTR series. You could always read him the Mark of the Lion series :D...

ReplyDeleteum...john adams is good, but not a read aloud one. i say...ZVI...or Endurance....or Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.
