Harvest Party

Yesterday was SCV Bible study's Harvest Party. I have been attending SCV for 6 years and was feeling a little "Home Sick" and asked Kyle if we could drive up for a couple hours and see everyone.

He said yes!

The Bozeman Police Reports

I grew up in Bozeman Montana. Some of the first bits of advice that my brothers in law, Dan and Caleb, gave Kyle when we started dating seriously was to not make fun of Bozeman. My sisters and I kind of LOVE it... and that's an understatement.

I tell people that I grew up never locking our doors and that we knew all of our neighbors. People can't imagine that a place like that still exists. Well... Once you read these police reports you wont be confused anymore... Sometimes I read them just to get a good laugh in my day.

Here are just a few from this last week:

A man said a small, red, heavy-duty truck full of cocaine was heading west near Churchill and Norris roads at 1:16 a.m. The man said he studies MapQuest maps and God gives him visions. He also said he was in a mental hospital for 15 years and was shocked 11 times for schizophrenia.

A black bear was seen “just chilling on the porch” in the area of South Sixth Avenue and West Alderson Street at 8:06 p.m.

A bear eating chicken feed in a barn on Big Gulch Drive refused to leave, despite the homeowners lighting fireworks and yelling at it. The bear “just looks at them,” they told a dispatcher.

Here are some more... I couldn't stop with just this weeks police reports:

A caller wanted to speak with a deputy about his neighbor “who just mooned him.”

A woman said she is having problems with her neighbor’s cat. A short time later, the cat owner called to talk about the neighbor “who doesn’t like his cat.”
A caller reported someone had thrown something at an Arrowwood Drive home around 4 a.m. and then driven away. It turned out to be a newspaper carrier and not a problem.

A caller reported that a child had fallen down the stairs and landed on the family dog.

An officer returned a call regarding a report that dogs were chasing donkeys on South 16th Avenue.

I hope you got a good laugh out of that!

my nephews

I have 3 nephews and 2 nieces (1 on the way) I miss all of them SO much! but today I caught myself re-living a day I got to spend with David and Elijah.

David is my sister Katie's oldest.

Elijah is my sister Jessica's oldest.

I got to have them all to myself not that long ago.... wish I could do that again.

they barely sat long enough to snap the picture

Elijah LOVED the chickens

wrestling on the trampoline

Elijah killed a few bumble bees with his bare hands.. he thought it was fun, surprisingly he didn't get stung

He is too much! miss him

first time he did the swing alone

what a personality
going on an adventure

In the playhouse. Notice that Elijah has toys in his hands. he climbed up the ladder over and over and refused to let go on the toys. He made it up without falling. I'm still not sure how. David thought it was so cool to be up high in a loft.

ok, I could figure out how to rotate this, but I had to post it. It's Elijah after his nap. He takes a long time to wake up!

things I love about Kyle

I have a pretty fabulous husband. I'm sure every girl thinks that about their husband, and they should! But I want to focus on mine..

He loves me selfLESSly. This is a small example, but as we speak he is making breakfast so that Deborah and I both had time to get ready for church and be on time (I'm big on being on time... something Kyle is learning :) ) I didn't ask him to make breakfast or even suggest it... and of course he followed House Rule 1. The coffee is made!

I love that he knows when I want a hug and when I want space.... I pretty much always want a hug.

He talks in random accents at random times and has the corniest jokes. I am always laughing with him. He does one accent for Deb every time that she comes..

"Kyle please do the German accent." -Deb
"De Germans are good people! NOZING BAD HAPPENED" - Kyle (read in german accent)

Deb proceeds to laugh hysterically and ask him to do it over and over.

I love how he loves my family.  (another example) We'll be laying in bed and Kyle will start to kick his legs like our nephew Danny does when he's restless, then after kicking his legs, he'll look at me and say "I miss the boys"

Most importantly I love how He loves the Lord. There were 2 main things (of course it grew into many more than 2) that made me fall in love with Kyle. He loves the Lord and is Teachable. What a combination!

I am a blessed woman

HOLA ! it's deBORah!!!!!

"whatever you want... if its appropriate" These words were the last word that Bekki told me before I decided to write as a guest blogger... muahahahahaha...I HAVE THE COMPUTER NOW SUCKER!!!

I AM IN A SLIGHT PREDICAMENT. I DO NOT HAVE  A CLEAR DIRECTION OR INSPIRATION FOR THIS POST... HMMM. I NORMALLY RAMBLE IN MY SPEECH ANYWAYS, WHY NOT STAY CONSISTENT?

MY NAME IS DEBORAH ... YOUNGER SISTER TO BEKKI. I AM VISITING HER AND KYLE (AND TAKING CARE OF A STUPID TICKET. DUMB) SHE IS CURRENTLY ABOUT TO ABORT OUR HANGING OUT SESSION TO GO TO YOUNG MARRIED BIBLE STUDY.. WELP! CANT JOIN HER FOR THAT ONE! SO I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT BEING BORED AND EATING FOOD. its funny how often boredom and eating coincide. I LEARNED THAT LESSON WHEN I WAS A YOUNG CHILD.. FRESH OUT OF SURGERY AND SWIMMING. I ATE LIKE A PIGLET CAUSE I WAS BORED RECOVERING FROM THEE ARM SURGERY BEFORE MENTIONED. I SUCCESSFULLY GAINED 30 LBS. IN ONE MONTH.

I LOVE ANIMALS.. I WANT A GIANT SCHNAUZER. HAHAHA THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LARGE NOSE ... EXAMPLE (PLEASE READ IN A BRITISH ACCENT) : "YOU SIR HAVE A GIANT SCHNAUZER... DID I SAY SCHNAUZER? I MEANT SCHNOZ MY DEAR CHAP" THESE ANIMALS ARE SO BIG. THEY LOOK LIKE THE SIZE OF A PONY. I WANT A LITTLE COMPANION, I GUESS I SHOULD SAY A BIG COMPANION. IT WOULD MAKE ME SO HAPPY! BUT ALAS I NEED TO BE PATIENT AND WAIT FOR THE RIGHT TIME TO GET A LITTLE DOGGIE!!! OH I LOVE LITTLE DOGGIES!

WELL ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE, I AM SICK. IT SUCKS.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE.... I HAVE STARTED SWIMMING AGAIN. I GREW UP SWIMMING AND THEN QUIT AND NOW I AM BACK AT IT. ( see above for reference to arm surgeries) SWIMMING MAKES ME HAPPY AND I AM GETTING IN BETTER SHAPE. THE UNFORTUNATE THING ABOUT SWIMMING IS THAT MOST PEOPLE DEVELOP A THIN AND UNNECESSARY LAYER OF FAT FOR INSULATION.  OH WELL. THATS LIFE. IT ALSO IS A GREAT STRESS RELIEVER. AND YOU CAN BLOCK THE WORLD OUT CAUSE YOUR HEAD IS UNDERWATER.

LESSONS YOU SHOULD HAVE LEARNED BY READING THIS BLOG ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. SISTERS DONT WANT INAPPROPRIATENESS.
2. TRY TO HAVE A CLEAR DIRECTION FOR YOUR LIFE.
3. DONT EAT WHEN YOU ARE BORED... OR IF YOU ARE FAT.. OR RECOVERING FROM SURGERY, CAUSE IT WILL CAUSE FATNESS.
4. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A GIANT SCHNAUZER AND TALK IN BRITISH ACCENTS.
5. SWIMMING IS A GOOD WORKOUT.

Deborah is here for the weekend

Thanks to a stupid traffic ticket my sister is here for the weekend!

We've already been REALLY productive sitting on the couch and having some good chats:

"If you could live in the world of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings which would you choose?"

I'm glad she's here to challenge me with such tough questions....

We've discussed working out, but watched television instead. Psych is so funny!
We talked about doing something tonight, but ate some ice cream and laughed at things on pinterest

Now we are laying in bed, yep, it's about time for a 2:30pm nap.

p.s. I've started a new page... the Tall diaries... if you want to check it out
